HARRISONBURG, VA – The Shenandoah Valley Partnership (SVP), the region’s premier economic development marketing organization, proudly announces www.theshenandoahvalley.com as its new domain name to accompany a fresh, redesigned website. The website and new URL were unveiled today at the SVP’s Annual Meeting at Hotel Madison & Shenandoah Valley Conference Center in Harrisonburg, Virginia. This new domain name embraces the iconic and recognizable “Shenandoah Valley” as the preferred location for new and expanding business facilities. The new domain name will be used not only for SVP’s new website, but also staff email addresses, marketing collateral, branding, and enhanced social media campaigns.
“Telling the economic development story of the Shenandoah Valley and conveying the work of the SVP is critical on many platforms to reach broad audiences in a competitive global economy. Having a clean, cohesive, easy-to-navigate website allows us to guide business prospects, economic development project partners, SVP investors, and community leaders through our online business story. ‘The Shenandoah Valley’ is unique and recognizable around the world, often for its history and beauty. We’re excited to now harness this brand online to go one step further to explain why this idyllic location is perfectly suited for your business, our workforce, and this experience to combine for mutual economic benefit,” said SVP’s Executive Director, Carrie Chenery, of the new website.
According to a survey of site selection consultants produced by Area Development Magazine, 90 percent of consultants use the internet as their primary source for site and facility planning information. The SVP’s new website emphasizes the Shenandoah Valley’s business case by providing a comprehensive market overview and resources that connect targeted industries with available properties, labor market information, industry data, as well as information pertaining to other public and private investors and partners who support the organization’s mission.
Courtland Robinson, SVP’s Director of Business Development said, “The construction of SVP’s new online presence brings us closer to our target audience of corporate decision makers while ensuring that we have an intelligent, multifaceted digital lead generation system in place to assist in catalyzing investment into the Shenandoah Valley.”
The website’s intuitive navigation, downloadable resources, and quick resource links are accompanied by impactful photos of the Shenandoah Valley that promote both its natural scenic beauty and its positive focus on economic, community and workforce development. The site will serve as a valuable global marketing tool to highlight the many benefits of doing business in the Shenandoah Valley.
