SVP Completes Due Diligence for 500-Acre Blue Mountain Site

April 2026 – SVP completed due diligence for the 496-acre Blue Mountain industrial site. This due diligence complements work performed in 2022 by completing a geotechnical evaluation for the southern portion of the site and updating all existing due diligence reports to include a grading plan, site concept layouts, environmental assessments, a threatened & endangered species report, and a wetlands delineation. The Blue Mountain property is the largest industrial site in the SVP footprint and is ideal for large industrial projects seeking room for future growth. The site has undergone significant expansion of its water and wastewater capacity in recent years. Additionally, the site is directly adjacent to the Shenandoah Valley Airport and Shenandoah Valley Aviation Technology Park. New Staunton Water Tower Rises Over I-81 as Construction Reaches Major Milestone

Nov. 2025 – Holiday travelers driving I-81 this week may notice a striking new feature on Staunton’s skyline. The City of Staunton’s new 1-million-gallon elevated water storage tank at Staunton Crossing has reached a major construction milestone with the lift of its 264-ton steel bowl.

Built at ground level over the past several months, the bowl was hoisted up the concrete pedestal using a system of jacks and cables. The top of the tank now sits approximately 240 feet above the ground. The lift marks a key milestone for Staunton Crossing, the city’s emerging 300-acre business park. Click heading to read more.

Rockingham County Receives $4.5M Grant for Innovation Village

Aug. 2024 – Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin has awarded 23 grants totaling $126 million to projects across the state as part of the Virginia Business Ready Sites Program. The grants were only issued to projects at sites totaling more than 100 acres.

Rockingham County received a $4.5 million grant from the program for a site development project at Innovation Village. The county plans to build a 20-acre pad site on a 165-acre property to attract another large business. Click heading to read more.
