Vision & Mission

The vision of the Shenandoah Valley Partnership (SVP) is collaboration among economic development, business and educational partners to improve the region’s prosperity and quality of life.

As the regional economic development and marketing organization for the Shenandoah Valley, the SVP brings together business, government, education leaders and state-wide strategic partners to increase economic development activity and job growth. As outlined in our Strategic Plan, our organization is leading a refocused direction through convergent economic development by combining traditional economic development activities with community development and tourism development initiatives. Through this shared, long-term vision, and a region-wide commitment, we are seeing measurable results including the announcement of nearly $2 billion in new capital investments and over 2,300 new jobs throughout the region over the last five years.

By providing the forum for cooperation and collaboration, the SVP’s mission is to:

• Encourage businesses to establish operations in the Shenandoah Valley through capital investments and job creation;
• Serve as an advocate for existing business expansions; and
• Assist with regional workforce development efforts.
