Valley Roots: The Legacy & Future of Agriculture in the Shenandoah Valley
It’s fair season in the Shenandoah Valley! This edition of the At the Table forum comes to you straight from Virginia’s largest agricultural fair – the Rockingham County Fair! The fair is more than rides and entertainment. It’s a celebration of our deep agricultural legacy – after all, four of Virginia’s top five agriculture-producing counties are right here in our footprint, one of which is in the top 50 in the U.S. – and it’s a major economic driver for our region and supports our major food and beverage sector. We’ll chat with our guests about the rich history, why it remains vital today, and where the future of agriculture is headed.
